Writing can be tough. Setting aside blocks of time and locating a quiet space to writing can be a challenge. This concept is simple. Show up. Set a goal. Open your laptop, grab a cup of coffee or tea settle in and write.
Shut up and Write! may not work for everyone. What is the format for the event?
Monday (Day 1), Tuesday (Day 2), Wednesday (Day 3) - (9am - 4pm)
Design your own schedule. Choose your day and blocks of time for each day AM (9-12), PM (12-4) or Full-day (9-4). Write your goal on the chart upon arrival grab a seat and write.
Is there a cost associated with this event? No.
Do I have to sign up for all three days?
No. We ask that you commit and register for a minimum of 1 - 2 days. Those days and times can be spread the times out in way you like. For example, you may want to attend 1 full day, 2 days for half the day or all 3 days. Build the schedule that works for you.
Will food be provided?
No. Coffee and tea will be provided. Feel free to bring your own snacks.
What should I bring to the event?
Students are asked to bring their laptop (optional), books, articles and any materials needed to achieve writing goals.
